Where can I find a good workout that can tone my body in a couple weeks?
Ok. I’ve been doing a bikini body workout thing for a couple weeks and I see no change. Im looking for a workout that tones legs,butt,abs, and arms all in one. I saw the P90x thing on tv, but it’s too expensive and I just want toned. Any suggestions or ideas? Thanks!
Some of the best exercises are the simplest. I recommend running, crunches, push-ups, squats, and lunges. They are all easy to learn and you don’t need any fancy workout plan or equipment. Just google the exercises and you’ll find instructions.
Running: 2 miles each day, walk if you get tired. If you get very sore, take a day off. Running is an aerobic exercise – it burns fat. If you keep it up and regularly do your best at the two-mile run/walk (think 5-6 times a week) you will notice results in two or three weeks.
Crunches: as many as you can in a minute. Crunches tone your abs and build core muscles which, besides looking good, helps keep you from injuring your back.
Push-ups: tones your arm muscles. If you get good, do tricep “diamond” push-ups instead to avoid the bodybuilder bicep look. Seriously though, push ups are a great way to tone your arms. Do “girl push-ups” if you need to. They work fine.
Squats and Lunges: thighs and glutes. They will make you very sore, but they are a great exercise. Just start with a few (10-ish) at first and work your way up.
They key is to exercise REGULARLY. To see results you need to keep at it for at least a month. Drink lots of water, and never work out on an empty stomach. When you work out you need food and eating is OK. Eat healthy. (You don’t have to freak out or anything, but not drinking soda all day helped me a lot.) Get sleep. All the usual advice.
